The festival is made up of screenings, workshops, exhibitions and talks. Some events are available only to people registering for the festival as delegates.
Registration:
Register as a delegate once registration is open (in early June)
• Talks by some of the world's leading exponents of storytelling and factual communication
• Priority access to workshops by experts who will help you hone your communication skills (numbers strictly limited)
• Screenings of cutting edge documentaries: science, natural history, environmental
• Exhibitions of art, photography and installations with a science flavour
• Opening function, Festival dinner*,
• Literature and Lager: readings in a pub from graduates of the Centre and well- known authors
• Premiere of our student films at the Regent Theatre
• Festival opening function *
• Festival dinner *(additional cost see below)

Delegates: NZ$ $170 (GST incl)
Students: NZ$ $115 (GST incl),
University of Otago Alumni: NZ$ $140 (GST incl)
*Festival Dinner: NZ$ 67.50 (GST incl )
*Speights Ale House and Brewery Tour, tastings and dinner $58.50 (GST incl)
Selected individual events will be open to non-delegates and if space is available will be able to be pre-booked for $25 by e-mailing sciencecommunication@otago.ac.nz (door sales at each event $20 if seats available).
Originally known as the Wild South International Film Festival (in association with the Festival of Colour, Wanaka, NZ) the inaugural ScienceTeller festival was held in Dunedin at the University of Otago in 2011. The festival is a showcase for some of the best non-fiction films from around the world together with other creative works exploring the intersection of narrative and science.
